మానవుడిగా పుట్టడం వలన ఉపయోగం ఏంటి? మనము ఎందుకు బతుకుతున్నాము? కేవలం తినడము, నిద్రపోవడము, పిల్లల్ని కనడము, వాళ్ళను పెంచడము ఇదేనా మన ధ్యేయం? అలా అయితే జంతువులకు, చెట్లకు మనకు తేడా ఏమిటి? జంతువులు, చెట్లు - అవి అయినా ఇతరులకు ఉపయోగపడుతున్నాయి. మన వల్ల ఎవరికి ఉపయోగం? మార్కోనీ రేడియోను కనుగొన్నాడు. ఇట్ల గొప్ప గొప్ప వాళ్లు ప్రజలకు ఉపయోగపడు పనులు చేయిస్తున్నారు కదా! వాళ్ళు చేయగలిగింది మనము ఎందుకు చేయడము లేదు? వాళ్ళు మనలాంటి మానవలే కదా! మన లక్ష్య ఏమిటి? సాయి తాతయ్య, రమణ తాతయ్యగారి లాగా మనం ఎందుకు ఉండలేక పోతున్నాము? మనం అందరం ఆ భగవంతుడి నుండి వచ్చాము కాబట్టి తిరిగి భగవంతుని చేరవలసిందే. భగవంతుని చేరడం మన లక్ష్యమైనప్పుడు మిగిలిన విషయాల మీద కోరికలు, ఆశలు, వ్యామోహాలు ఎందుకు? వాటివలన ఉపయోగం ఏమి? మన లక్ష్యాన్ని చేరుకోలేము కదా! విషయవాసనలను(కోరికల మీద మమకారం) మనంతట మనము తొలగించుకోలేము. గురువు సహాయం లేనిదే వాటి నుండి బయటపడలేము.

What is the use of being born human? Why do we live? Is our goal just to eat, sleep, to give birth to children, and raise them? So what is the difference between us and animals and trees? Animals, trees - they are useful to others though. Who benefits from us? Marconi invented radio. Are these great people doing things that are not useful to the people? Why do not we? Aren't they human beings like us! What is our goal? Why can't we be like Sai Baba and Ramana Maharshi? We all have to come back to God because we came from that God. When our goal is to reach God, why desires, hopes, and obsessions over other things? What is the use of them? Can't reach our goal! We cannot get rid of subjective odors (Fascination on desires) on our own. Without the help of a Guru one cannot get out of them.
